We've ordered about 6000 of these total now, and for the most part they work well. They don't allow particularly thicker item, as the sides will start to split. However, in most of those cases we just get a clear polybag and slide the item and envelope inside. We also had a batch where the top layer was separating, but that only happened with about 10% of 1 batch, so probably just a fluke thing. Overall, they work well for our needs, and we will continue to use them.
